The Euro-Mediterranean University of Fez, in collaboration with the Euro-Mediterranean Network for Economic Studies – EMNES, organised the workshop “Migration, Mobility and Development”.  The workshop took place on 17 October 2019 at the Euromed University of Fez

The objective of this workshop was to bring a new vision of the realities and the different parameters around the topic of migration, which has become one of the most important issues in the international agenda.

The workshop opened with addresses from Prof. Taoufiq Ouazzani Chahdi, Vice President of Academic and Cultural Affairs of the Euromed University of Fez, Prof. Abderrahman Tenkoul, Dean of the Euromed Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Prof. Rym Ayadi, President of the Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association – EMEA,  and Director of the Euro-Mediterranean Network for Economic Studies – EMNES. Prof. Ayadi, highlighted that “Organised legal migration is a fundamental lever for co-development for Europe, the Mediterranean and Africa”.

Two distinguished members of EMNES Advisory Board also participated, H.E. Fathallah Sijilmassi, Former Secretary General of the secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean, and Roger Albinyana, Director of Mediterranean Regional Policies Department at IEMed.
